While attending Bev's MUSIC CARE by Room 217 presentation in the Spring of 2025, I felt an instant connection with the Music Care mission, and was excited to learn about their music care approaches all grounded in powerful research. I believe in the power of music and am grateful for the opportunity to be working with the Room 217 team to support the mission moving forward.
Arti began her career as a high school music teacher and has always believed in the power of music to help us through life. The music classroom was not only a place to learn subject matter, but a place to feel connection, emotion, and fulfillment. (Gravitating to music as a child, her piano and high school music class were key places of grounding, joy, beauty and an emotional tool that inspired her to become a music educator.)
Throughout her seven international moves with her husband and three children, she has always somehow been connected with music, education and charity. Experiences included fundraising for various charities in New York, Barbados and London, England.
Arti has a degree in Music and a Master's degree in Education & International Development. She is founder of yoga4good.ca, a not-for-profit offering corporate yoga classes with all proceeds going to charity.
